US Payroll Operations Manager

Are you a payroll leader who enjoys owning payroll end to end, leading people, and driving process improvement in a global organization? This role is a hands-on HR Operations Manager role with true ownership of US payroll and people leadership. You’ll serve as the go-to expert for payroll accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement in a function that’s already operating well. This role sits within a large global manufacturer and offers meaningful ownership, visibility, and the opportunity to build continuity and drive automation and change.

The role is hybrid and based in Rosemont, IL, with onsite presence three days per week.

• Own end-to-end, in-house payroll for the US and Canada (US 95%, Canada 5%)
• Act as the primary escalation point for payroll accuracy, compliance, and risk
• Lead and develop a small Payroll & HR Operations team
• Oversee employee lifecycle processes (onboarding, offboarding)
• Drive process improvement and automation

• 7+ years of hands-on US payroll experience (multi-state)
