Job Description:
Duck Creek Business Analyst
- Minimum 8+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience with strong Duck Creek Policy expertise to advise stakeholders on solution options, risks, and trade-offs
- Lead requirements analysis for Duck Creek Policy implementations covering product setup, rating, underwriting rules, forms, and policy transactions
- Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with Duck Creek Policy capabilities
- Act as functional SME for Policy lifecycle including New Business, Endorsements, Renewals, Cancellations, and Rewrites
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and QA teams to ensure accurate solution design and implementation
- Drive backlog refinement and story mapping ensuring clarity, sizing, and sprint readiness
- Provide guidance on configuration vs customization within Duck Creek Policy aligned with best practices
- Support UAT planning and execution including test scenario creation, defect triage, and business sign-off
- Perform gap analysis and impact assessment for new products, regulatory changes, and system enhancements
- Ensure traceability across business requirements, user stories, test cases, and delivered functionality
- Review and analyze user needs to create system solutions aligned with business strategy
- Document requirements and user stories defining scope and system specifications for implementation
- Develop functional specifications describing system behavior and required features
