Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Majesco Functional Lead to drive business analysis, functional design, and implementation of insurance solutions on the Majesco platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in insurance domain processes and in-depth knowledge of Majesco applications, including Policy, Billing, and Claims.
The role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring business requirements are accurately translated into scalable and efficient Majesco solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

Lead workshops with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Document business processes, functional requirements, and use cases.
Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications.

Functional Design & Solutioning

Design functional solutions using:
- Majesco Policy Administration
- Majesco Billing
- Majesco Claims
Configure product features aligned with business requirements.
Define workflows, business rules, and user journeys.

Requirements Translation & Collaboration

Act as a liaison between business and technical teams.
Ensure functional requirements are clearly understood and implemented by developers and architects.

Testing & Validation

Define and review test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
Support:
- System Integration Testing (SIT)
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Validate system behavior against business expectations.

Process Optimization

Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
Recommend best practices and optimal product utilization.
Minimize customization by leveraging out-of-the-box platform capabilities.

Documentation & Knowledge Management

Prepare Functional Design Documents (FDDs), Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), and user stories.
Maintain traceability between requirements and deliverables.
Provide knowledge transfer and end-user training.

Stakeholder Management

Engage with business users, SMEs, and product owners.
Provide regular updates on requirements and project progress.
Support change management and adoption initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

8–12 years of experience in the insurance domain and business analysis.
4–6 years of experience working with Majesco platforms or similar insurance systems.

Domain Expertise
Strong understanding of:

Policy lifecycle (Quote, Bind, Issue, Renew)
Underwriting processes
Billing and invoicing workflows
Claims lifecycle

Experience in one or more of the following:

Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance
Life Insurance
Health Insurance

Majesco Functional Expertise
Hands-on experience with:

Majesco Policy
Majesco Billing
Majesco Claims

Knowledge of:

Product configuration
Workflow design
Business rules configuration

Functional & Analytical Skills

Business analysis and requirements elicitation
Functional design and documentation
Process modeling (BPMN, workflow diagrams)
Testing support and validation

Technical Awareness (Preferred)
Understanding of:

APIs and system integrations
Data modeling and data mapping
Agile tools such as Jira and Azure Dev Ops
Cloud environments (AWS and Azure)

Soft Skills

Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Leadership and mentoring capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with large-scale Majesco implementations or transformation programs.
Agile/Scrum experience.
Exposure to digital insurance platforms.
Business Analysis certification (CBAP) and/or Agile certifications (CSM, PSM).
