Northstar Sr. Application Lead
Location:
Minneapolis, MN (4 days/week onsite)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Northstar Sr. Application Lead to partner with IT and business stakeholders to analyze, design, and deliver enterprise technology solutions. This role requires strong business systems analysis, SQL expertise, and technical leadership across large-scale programs involving multiple applications, interfaces, and third-party integrations.
Note:
This is a 3-month Contract-to-Hire (CTH) opportunity. Candidates must be employed through a subcontractor and be willing to convert to a CLIENT full-time employee upon successful completion of the contract period.

Key Responsibilities:
Analysis & Solution Design
- Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Lead solution design activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Perform SQL-based data analysis, impact analysis, and ad-hoc reporting.
- Identify project risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Support database design and optimization across enterprise systems.
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and third-party vendors.
- Coordinate application implementations, releases, and production deployments.
- Support post-implementation validation and issue resolution.
- Assist with disaster recovery planning and implementation activities.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and interface validation.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, process documentation, and training materials.
- Ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with business leaders, project teams, and vendors.
- Facilitate meetings, technical discussions, and executive presentations.
- Provide regular project status updates and support decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis, Systems Analysis, or Data Analysis.
- Advanced SQL and relational database experience.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture and data integration.
- Experience gathering requirements and converting them into technical solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS platforms.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Informatica MDM experience.
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience.
- Jira experience.
- Enterprise Integration and SOA experience.
- Financial Services or Customer Data Management experience.
