At Source Logistics, we specialize in offering customized logistics and supply chain solutions in US markets, including Full Service Warehousing, Order Processing, E-commerce Fulfillment, Marketing Fulfillment, Complete Transportation Solutions, and Information/Data Supply Chain Services.

We support a variety of industries such as food and beverage, apparel, retail, health and beauty, medical, industrial, technology, financial, and more. Our mission is to help US and foreign-based companies expand their presence in the US by delivering competitive and tailored supply chain solutions.

We currently manage 5.6 million square feet of warehouse space, strategically located throughout the US, with facilities in Los Angeles, CA;
Chicago, IL, N. Monroe, NJ;
Portland, OR;
Houston, TX; and Laredo, TX.

Responsibilities:
  • Location:

    1800 South Wolf Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018; 8am to 5pm plus occasional overtime and a few Saturdays per year.
  • Plan, organize, and direct production, administrative, and warehouse activities to meet or exceed established production goals in a cost‑effective manner.
  • Design, develop, and implement processes that increase yield and/or improve quality for all warehousing.
  • Perform workflow analysis and develop methods for the production team.
  • Coordinate with managers and supervisors to establish production and quality control standards.
  • Coordinate with the customer service manager to resolve all operational customer complaints.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes, procedures, and programs to improve safety, productivity, and profitability of the operation.
  • Implement and maintain DOT/OSHA and company programs and standards.
  • Ensure that employees and managers have the required safety training and are consistently working in a safe manner; develop and implement safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries.
  • Coordinate with managers to address organizational needs, equipment utilization and maintenance.
  • Provide leadership, communication, and coaching to employees; cultivate a motivated environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership.
  • Ensure operational supplies are on hand and available at all times.
  • Ensure warehouse operations comply with federal, state, local, and/or company policies and regulations.
  • Prepare all required reports and correspondence.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor the department budget; manage expenses within approved budget constraints.
  • Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Keep up to date on overall activities of the team, identify problem areas and take corrective actions.
  • Directly supervise warehouse personnel.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in related field or equivalent preferred.
  • Five to ten years related experience or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates.
  • Basic competence in subordinates’ duties and tasks.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Proven leadership and business acumen skills.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish is a MUST
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
  • A bility to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
  • Experience working with Union workers or a union shop is a plus.
