General Manager – Car Wash

Job Level: Mid-Level Leadership

Location: Niles, IL

Status: Full-Time

Compensation: $50,000-$70,000/year + bonus incentives

Founded in 2017 in Plainfield, Illinois, WashU uses advanced technology and water-recycling systems to help conserve resources while still providing a superior clean. About the Role:

Our mission is to be our communities' preferred car wash brand by obsessively pursuing excellence in all things. As a General Manager, you are responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience and establishing your site as the top choice in your local market. You will oversee all aspects of site performance, including team leadership, operations, sales, and financial performance, with full ownership of your site’s P&L.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all daily operations, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow management
  • Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing team while driving accountability and engagement
  • Deliver and maintain exceptional customer service standards and resolve escalated issues
  • Own site financial performance, including sales growth, expense management, and profitability
  • Drive revenue through memberships, local partnerships, and community engagement
  • Ensure equipment functionality, facility cleanliness, and overall operational excellence
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards, policies, and all applicable regulations
Key Requirements:
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams
  • Strong business acumen with an understanding of financial performance and P&L management
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
  • Results-driven mindset with a focus on sales growth and operational efficiency
  • Reliable and flexible, including availability for weekends and holidays as needed
