Accounting Manager, Financial Compliance
JOB FUNCTION AND SCOPE
This position oversees and manages the daily operations of the accounting department A/P, A/R and payroll and general ledger, providing support, direction and compliance with the Geberit Internal Control system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Departmental Management (10%)
- Authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay‑off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, and discipline employees as needed.
- Establish departmental objectives and evaluate employee performance regularly at least once a year.
- Participate in the Management Review process to evaluate the performance of EQMS.
- Lead the corporate Accounting and Tax function.
- Develop, monitor and control the department budget.
- Directs financial affairs of the CFC Company (60%)
- Conduct month‑end close activities within the stated corporate time‑frame.
- Manage weekly and monthly payroll preparation.
- Ensure accounting is performed in accordance with the Geberit Accounting Manual.
- Ensure preparation and payment of all state, local and federal tax filings.
- Coordinate annual external audits – 401k and annual financial audit.
- Manage corporate cash.
- Directs preparation of budgets and financial forecasts (15%)
- Review budget proposals and prepare supporting documentation and justifications.
- Coordinate budgeting, forecasting and planning requirements.
- Monitor established budgets monthly, providing guidance and assistance to management.
- Performs monthly and quarterly reporting (5%)
- Analyze and interpret company operation results, evaluate variances, and assess effects on the company operations.
- Manage actual forecast and budget scenarios throughout the year.
- Provide daily, weekly and monthly reports for corporate management.
- Meet all Geberit reporting requirements within the stated time‑frame.
- Direct and manages the Geberit Internal Control System (5%)
- Ensure full compliance with the company internal control requirements.
- Identify and mitigate known business risks.
- Proactively seek and improve deficiencies.
- Set routines to ensure proper controls.
- All other duties as assigned (5%).
Education and Experience
Required:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 10+ years of cost accounting/manufacturing experience.
- 7+ years of leadership/management experience.
- 7+ years of experience with SAP operating system.
- 7+ years of experience managing accounting functions, AP, AR, Payroll, and CAPEX.
- 5+ years of experience managing all aspects of corporate tax including federal, state and local income taxes as well as sales/use tax issues.
Preferred:
- Master’s Degree.
- CPA.
- Employee Orientation.

$145,000 – $160,000 per year.
Language Skills- Reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures or manuals.
- Writing routine reports, business correspondence, and documenting accounting procedures.
- Creating and presenting information and responding to questions from employees and managers.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Good technical and analytical skills.
- Checking accuracy of reports, forms, records and comparable data.
- Adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing numbers, including decimals and fractions.
- Using complex formulas, charts and tables.
- Problem solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- CPA.
The employee must remain stationary approximately 90% of the time, frequently moving around the office and manufacturing plant to access equipment and communicate with other employees. Occasionally lifts and/or transports office binders, files or boxes weighing up to 10 pounds. Work EnvironmentThe work environment characteristics are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level within the office is minimal. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. The position requires frequent work on the factory floor where hearing, foot, and vision protection may be necessary. Up to 10% travel, some of which will be international.
