C&L Supreme is looking for a quality person to run the quality department. This position will be in charge of all quality aspects and the QMS, and will maintain the ISO certification for the company. Education Requirements- High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Proficient with GD&T, geometry and trigonometry (shop math). Vocational technical program certificate preferred.
- Proficient in reading, understanding and interpreting specifications, blueprints, drawings, test procedures, work instructions and other applicable production/inspection documentation.
- Must have a working knowledge of inspection techniques, tools and equipment such as gauges, meters, calipers and micrometers.
- Must be able to perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished work.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Minimum three (3) years experience in a QC Inspector role in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret charts, graphs, technical procedures, blueprints and engineering drawings with close attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of quality control methods and techniques such as first article, in-process and final assembly inspections, manufacturing processes and testing procedures.
- Computer experience utilizing MS Word and/or an ERP system.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams and engineering specification sheets to obtain product information such as specified materials, cosmetic requirements and dimensions.
- Verify conformity of finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for rework and confirming rework.
- Verify conformity of first piece by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for rework and confirming rework.
- Verify products going to outside service by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for rework and confirming rework.
- Accurately perform and complete First Article inspection reports and Non‑conformance reports.
- Inspect production components and subassemblies for conformance to predetermined standards, specifications, tolerances and quality procedures.
- Verify conformity in‑process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and communicating required adjustments to production supervision.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing rework and waste, and inputting data into the quality database (log in E2; KPI logs, etc.).
- Document results of all inspection findings and results including detailed descriptions/discrepancies and monitor corrective actions to inspection findings.
- Perform complex and critical inspection procedures requiring special set‑up of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.
- Perform line, in‑process, subassembly, shipping and receiving inspections as needed.
- Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions.
- Perform routine quality audits of controlled manufacturing area for material identification, traceability, equipment calibration, etc., and prepare reports under the direction of the Quality Manager and document results.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on inspection equipment.
- Accomplish quality and organizational mission by completing related results as needed.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands, change approach or methods to best fit the situation, and deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
- Build and promote effective working relationships with cross‑functional groups.
- Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
20/20 vision with or without correction. Use of hands 100% of the time. Stand, bend, stoop, twist and turn. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
