A growing organization in the industrial manufacturing industry is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), production readiness, and operational excellence. This is a highly visible technical leadership role responsible for driving scalable manufacturing solutions in a regulated, high-precision manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead manufacturing engineering activities for NPI programs, including process development, DFM/DFA reviews, PFMEA, tooling and fixture design, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), and production launch.
- Develop and optimize machining, assembly, automation, and inspection processes to improve quality, throughput, cost, and manufacturability while supporting Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive root cause investigations (RCCA), CAPA, process optimization, and risk mitigation efforts to improve operational performance and manufacturing readiness.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and Program Management to implement robust, scalable manufacturing processes and support capital equipment and automation initiatives.
- Mentor manufacturing engineers and establish standardized manufacturing procedures, process controls, and best practices across the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting advanced manufacturing, NPI, automation, CNC machining, precision assembly, or highly regulated production environments.
- Strong expertise with DFM/DFA, PFMEA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), RCCA, GD&T, statistical process control, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working within highly regulated industries such as aerospace, defense, medical device, semiconductor, or precision manufacturing.
- Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works preferred), ERP/MRP systems, engineering change management, and cross-functional project leadership. Must be eligible to access ITAR-controlled technical data as required.
