Outreach Feed 6 began in 2011 in response to the demand of local hunger and food insecurity in the Chicago area. They have packaged and distributed over 6 million nutritious meals to neighbors.
As an Outreach Feed 6 Logistics Volunteer, you will join Outreach Feed 6, 12-15 x a year at Chicago meal packaging events serving the Chicago Metropolitan Area. Volunteers engage in a myriad of support roles, including event set‑up, restocking of production lines, welcoming and training of packaging volunteers, logistics, and event clean‑up. Events typically will produce between 30,000 and 150,000 meals over a 7 to 8 hour period.
Average hours are from 7am – 3pm on event days.
