Position Details
Role: Veterinary Receptionist
Status: Full-time
Compensation: Hourly rate is negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: 5 days per week with no weekends and no overnight shifts
Experience: Previous veterinary clinic or high-volume medical front desk experience preferred; prior AVImark experience highly preferred

What You’ll Do As A Veterinary Receptionist

• Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for clients and their dogs and cats
• Warmly greet clients and manage patient check-in and check-out
• Maintain an organized and efficient lobby flow
• Use AVImark practice management software throughout the day
• Manage appointment and boarding calendars in AVImark
• Create and update electronic medical records
• Process patient reminders and maintain accurate client and patient information
• Generate client estimates and invoices
• Manage multi-line phone calls and electronic client communications
• Gather information and help identify the urgency of patient needs so concerns can be directed appropriately
• Clearly explain invoices and charges to clients
  
  Process client payments accurately and efficiently
• Assist with daily financial reporting in AVImark
• Communicate compassionately and professionally with clients, including during stressful or emotional situations
• Collaborate with the veterinary team to coordinate appointments and support efficient patient care
