We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team at our Pamco Label location in Des Plaines, IL. The Quality Assurance Inspector will be responsible for inspecting work in process and finished goods to ensure compliance with product specifications. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment is ideal. A background in printing, packaging or a similar industry with SQF, AIB, or ISO exposure is a huge plus!
Starting at $18 per hour
Essential Responsibilities- Examine purchase order and/or other documents to secure details regarding size, colors, content and other product characteristics to be inspected.
- Inspect product to determine compliance with order specifications, the company’s quality control system and conformity to specified standards.
- Test samples of product and document results.
- Approve or reject product and write report of inspection results.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; work well in group problem‑solving situations.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; look for ways to improve and promote quality; apply feedback to improve performance; monitor own work to ensure quality.
- Adapt to changes in the work environment; manage competing demands; change approach or method to best fit the situation; deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
- Display willingness to make decisions; exhibit sound and accurate judgment; support and explain reasoning for decisions; include appropriate people in decision‑making processes; make timely decisions.
- Understand business implications of decisions; display profitability; align work with strategic goals.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); college degree in a related field.
Two years or more of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Two years or more of experience working in a manufacturing environment, printing, packaging or folding carton experience.
