Technical Reviewer & Auditor – Meat, Dairy & Food Manufacturing

IFANCA (Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America) is one of the world's premier halal certification authorities, a nonprofit Islamic organization with over 40 years of expertise certifying food and beverage products since 1982. This full-time position represents a core technical role within their certification operations.

As a Technical Reviewer & Auditor, you will evaluate halal certification applications and conduct on-site facility audits at meat, poultry, dairy, and nutraceutical manufacturers, ensuring compliance with IFANCA's halal certification standards and Islamic dietary principles.

• Review and evaluate halal certification applications and technical documentation
• Conduct comprehensive on-site audits at meat processing, poultry, dairy, and nutraceutical facilities
• Assess slaughterhouse operations for full halal compliance
• Review ingredient sourcing and manufacturing process documentation
• Evaluate regulatory compliance with FDA and USDA/FSIS requirements
• Prepare detailed written audit reports documenting findings and recommendations
• Travel domestically and internationally to conduct facility inspections

• Bachelor's degree in food science or related scientific discipline
• Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in food manufacturing, meat/poultry processing, dairy operations, nutraceuticals, food safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or halal certification
• Working knowledge of FDA, USDA/FSIS, HACCP, and GMP standards
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills
• Willingness and ability to travel for facility visits
• Practicing Muslim with solid understanding of Islamic dietary law principles

• Hands-on slaughterhouse auditing experience
• Professional certifications: HACCP, PCQI, Lead Auditor, SQF, or BRCGS

• Salary: $60,000–$75,000 annually
