This role is a part‑time Associate responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products, preparing, serving and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies, and intercepting consumers to demonstrate products in a professional manner while maintaining a professional appearance.
Responsibilities- Possesses the aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Has desire and ability to proactively intercept, engage, interact, and sell product to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicate the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
- Maintain a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job.
- Properly set up and prepare event table for execution.
- Achieve 100% execution on assigned work.
- Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
- Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Complete expense reports as per Company Policy.
- Accurately prepare and submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Access the internet, navigate the company’s electronic systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Computer skills:
Proficient in using a personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. - Certificates, licenses and registrations:
Local food handlers permit may be required. - Physical demands:
Stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms (up to 65 inches), talk, hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb ladder, balance, lift and carry up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds), push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product, handle cleaning supplies, and prepare foods and beverages using required appliances. - Supervisory responsibilities:
None. - Work environment:
Retail store environment with limited travel. - Physical appearance:
Ensure a professional appearance and proper grooming as per retailer dress code. - Language skills:
English is the primary language; bilingual skills may be required.
This role is not expected to exceed 25 hours per week, although the company may change the role based on business needs.
