- Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with team members; and be flexible to the needs of the business, including work in other areas.
- Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and equipment operation, maintenance, and sanitization. Prepare (for example, cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming) meat products according to established standards, maintaining product quality.
- Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, adapting to new tools and encouraging others to use them.
- Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to policies. Maintain quality and date control standards, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
- Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing members’ experience in the meat area, modeling high‑quality service and products. Execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality, exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, using the Open Door Policy and applying these in business processes.
- Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within the prescribed time period.

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
