JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Sales - LTC at Polaris Pharmacy Services is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets. This role involves leading the sales team, building strong relationships with key clients, and identifying new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence in the pharmaceutical services sector. (Travel required across Illinois, Minnesota, and Michigan.)

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's client base and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to foster long‑term collaboration and customer loyalty.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to align sales efforts with overall business goals.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on progress and areas for improvement.
  • Represent Polaris Pharmacy Services at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance the company's visibility and reputation.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all sales activities.
QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to make data‑driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales‑related tools.
  • The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, preferably LTC.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic sales plans.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

HOLIDAYS & PTO POLICY
  • Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.

Because we are a pharmacy, most of our locations are open 24‑hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
