The Facilities Maintenance Technician ensures a safe, organized, efficient and productive operation in the areas of the facility and Customer Service Center (CSC) in accordance with LSG Sky Chefs and local regulations.

The individual is responsible for ensuring all repairs and preventative maintenance tasks and work orders are completed according to the manufacturer's specifications and/or company’s guidelines. He/she is fully committed to quality, excellence, delivering superior service through a progressive approach to people, technology and processes.

This role is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks; performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing, etc.) Inspects buildings and other structures to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair making notes and recommendations using a pre‑established check sheet. Performs minor electrical maintenance to include but not be limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.)

• The purpose of this position is to ensure that the day to day maintenance of the plant’s building structure and electromechanical systems run smoothly and efficiently.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots repairs of critical equipment including electrical distribution and controls, circuit breakers, automatic transfer switches, generators, automation controls and HVAC equipment using a variety of specialized hand and power tools.
• The assignments may include automatic retrieval system, dock equipment, general building maintenance, light carpentry, painting, repair of minor electrical devices, light plumbing or HVAC, and other upkeep and repair on building.
• Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building structures and systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, painting and carpentry to detect malfunctions and prevent deterioration.
• Ensures that proper testing has been completed before returning systems or equipment to production.
• Maintains a clean, clutter free work area.
• Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Keeps kitchen and building equipment operational, systems and building ready for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; maintaining maintenance records; following policies and procedures; completing repairs and installing replacement parts; reporting needed changes.
• Completes special requests by hauling files and boxes; moving furniture; setting up furnishings; preparing rooms for meetings; assembling public announcement and audio visual equipment; following manufacturer's operating and care guidelines; completing repairs and installing replacement parts.
