Plant Care Specialist

OverviewA Plant Care Specialist visits customer sites daily to apply trained techniques for plant care, including grooming, rotating, watering, pruning, trimming, and debris removal. The role requires accurate soil moisture measurement, fertilization, and prevention of moisture damage to surrounding surfaces.
Responsibilities- Apply and maintain appropriate amounts of water based on lighting conditions and plant requirements.
- Keep plants and display containers clean and free of dust and debris.
- Prevent disease and insect infestations.
- Maintain the appearance of top dressing and ornamental elements.
- Identify and communicate additional product needs to support growth opportunities.
- Assist with plantscape installations—interior or exterior container gardens, wall‑mounted systems, commercial plantscapes, and more.
- Assist with holiday decoration installations and removal.
- Maintain scenting and air‑purification equipment as needed.
- Communicate clearly and solve problems effectively.
- Travel by service van or truck in urban and rural settings.
- Climb and work safely on ladders.
- Use pruners, scissors, and other sharp objects safely.
- Preferred experience caring for plants.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
- Valid driver’s license for the state of residence.
- Availability to work Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed.
- Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic math skills for following product label instructions.
