Maintenance Mechanic
Work Model:
This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.
Brief Description
Employee repairs and maintains machinery and production equipment, installs functional and structural parts within the facility. Installs, removes and performs preventative maintenance on production equipment and machinery. The employee troubleshoots, tests, lubricates, and cleans as required. The employee operates a wide variety of power, pneumatic and hand tools as well precision measuring devices and test equipment. The employee is trained cross functional in both mechanical and electrical trades.
Key Accountabilities
• Responsible for maintaining production machinery throughout the facility
• Responsible for all facility (structural) maintenance and repairs
• Responsible for executing and closing work orders in a timely manner
• Accurate record keeping – equipment history, PM schedules, down time logs
• Any reports as required by management
• Comply with any and all safety procedures ie: lock out / tag out, fall prevention, lift equipment safety and confined space entry.
• Housekeeping duties as required
• Work in a constant state of alertness
• Regular and predictable attendance
• Work cooperative with co-workers
Job Requirements
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, WORK AIDES:
Wide variety of hand, power and pneumatic tools
Lift equipment
Analytical test equipment
Precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures
Computers – CNC and PLC
Hours worked Maintenance mechanics work 8-10 hour shifts with a forty-hour work week. Some overtime and weekend work may be required to meet demand.
Minimum
Education and Experience:
Post high school with emphasis on industrial trades, mechanical and electrical
3 years as industrial mechanical / electrical maintenance
Necessary
Skills:
• Industrial electrical and mechanical skills
• Ability to read and interpret PNID drawings
• CNC experience
• PLC experience
• High school math skills
• High school level communication skills – English primary
• Ability to read and use precise measuring devices ie:
Calipers, micrometers and tape measures
