Requirements and Skills:

1+ years of previous dispatch experience (local trucking/logistics). Strong typing skills and Outlook & Excel – must be able to type 45 to 50 WPM. Possess a strong working knowledge of Chicago's geographic layout to effectively dispatch drivers. Must be able to communicate in English, reading, writing, and verbally. Dispatcher

Job Duties:

Communication with external customers via phone and email regarding order status, shipping information, billing, or other items required by the customer. Data entry into Excel and/or the customer's database. Dispatch drivers for U.S. domestic shipment pick-ups and deliveries Data entry and customer service support. Notify drivers of pick-up and delivery assignments. Communicate with drivers and internal staff on shipments. Provide email communication to both internal and external customers.
