This position supports all aspects of Maintenance and Facilities with the priorities and agenda set forth by Facilities Leadership. Interacts with different levels of inter-organizational personnel, vendors, and consultants. Strong customer interaction skills, ability to identify and solve problems independently and computer literacy are critical for success.

Working in a team environment is critical and providing direction to others with different cultural and technical backgrounds is necessary for success. This position directly reports to the Facility Operations and Planning Manager.

• Use hand and power tools as well as other equipment to perform carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pipe fitting, painting, HVAC and other repairs and maintenance.
• Knowledge in the use and application of complex electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Perform regular preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on facility and production equipment and systems.
• Adheres to established industry and enterprise standards, policies and practices relating to safety, quality, schedule, cost, accounting, purchasing and regulatory compliance in performing assigned duties.
• Participate in the implementation of Continuous Improvements (CI) projects, space planning projects and capital projects.
• Possess skills in more complex areas such as welding/soldering, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and preventative maintenance operations.
• Willing to train less experienced technicians.
• Accurately document maintenance activities and complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Conducts and completes on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development.

• 10+ years of experience in general maintenance or facility maintenance.
• Working knowledge of maintenance lift equipment, forklifts, and material handling equipment.
• Respond to service requests with little or no supervision and direction without interrupting operations.
• Understanding of lockout / tagout procedures.
• Knowledgeable of in all aspects of HVAC operation, maintenance, and system components.
• Knowledgeable in all aspects of cutting, grinding, welding, and fabrication.
• Proven troubleshooting skills encompassing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Working understanding and knowledge of Oil/water separator systems and maintenance.
• Work with Planner / Scheduler to optimize preventative maintenance procedures and document maintenance activities.
• Working knowledge of electricity and electrical systems (AC/DC systems, relays, switches, fuses, breakers, motors)
