We at Nelson Ford of Grand Forks are seeking an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our team! This role involves a broad range of vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and resolving advanced mechanical problems, and delivering outstanding service to customers. The right candidate will bring solid automotive experience along with a strong commitment to precision, quality, and customer satisfaction.
If you have certifications from other OEMs like Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, GM, etc please do not hesitate to apply! The Ford STARS program can easily transfer your certifications.

Responsibilities:- Complete a broad variety of vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks efficiently and within appropriate time frames.
- Identify and resolve advanced mechanical concerns using proper diagnostic equipment and tools.
- Document all services and repairs thoroughly and accurately.
- Perform work to meet or exceed manufacturer guidelines and quality expectations.
- Stay current on industry advancements through ongoing training and certification programs.
- Clearly explain recommended services and completed repairs to customers, addressing questions as needed.
- Work alongside the service team to keep the shop clean, safe, and well organized.
- Follow all established safety standards and workplace regulations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ford certification preferred, though not mandatory.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician.
- Comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems, mechanical functions, and components.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities with solid problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable using modern diagnostic tools and service equipment.
- Effective communicator with a customer-focused approach.
- Capable of working productively on your own in a high-volume environment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving history.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods.
