ResponsibilitiesHow you'll make an impact in this role
- Installs, inspects, maintains, and repairs HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, and ice-making systems, including performing scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Diagnoses and resolves equipment issues, completes repairs (minor to emergency), and ensures proper system operation using gauges, tools, and technical expertise.
- Monitors and adjusts system performance (e.g., refrigerant flow, temperatures), ensuring compliance with CAA 608 refrigerant handling and recovery standards.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and specifications to execute work, while following manufacturer guidelines and operational best practices.
- Maintains accurate records, work orders, and equipment history; manages inventory, requisitions supplies, and ensures proper care of tools and equipment.
- Supports team operations by prioritizing work orders, directing junior staff, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
What minimum requirements you'll need
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required. Related trade school or equivalent training- required.
License/Certification:
- 608 EPA Certification Universal or Unlimited Refrigeration and Air Condition Service- required.
Experience:
- Three to five years required.
