Paint Booth Cleaner

Summary:

The Paint Booth Cleaner is responsible for providing a safe, clean, working environment for employees to ensure a defect free finish. They will perform a variety of duties such as vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, window cleaning, and trash removal while following safety procedures and adhering to all health and safety regulations. The Paint Booth Cleaner must be able to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.

They should have a strong sense of customer service and a positive attitude. This position is physically demanding, requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively communicate within the organization.

Responsibilities and

Job Duties:

Strictly adhere to LGC Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Performs manual scraping/chipping to clean walls, windows, grates, lights, robots, etc.

Executes minor maintenance.

Vacuums and wipe interior and exterior of equipment.

Cleans building floors and process areas by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.

Performs other specialized cleaning jobs as required throughout the paint shop.

Performs lock out/tag out of equipment for safe entry into energized areas of the paint shop.

Performs confined space entry procedures for safe entry into confined space areas needing to be cleaned.

Performs 5S activities to maintain storage area and equipment.

Qualifications:

Maintain valid  ensure access into customer site.

Prior experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.

High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and reach within 6” to the ground.

Ability to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty.

Ability to lift, carrying and pulling equipment of various size, shape, and weight.

Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.

Must be able to pass a background check.

Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.
