About the RoleThe Facilities Supervisor willbe responsibleforensuringthat all Fraser Ventures properties aremaintainedsafely, professionally, efficiently, and proactively.
We areseekingan experienced, dependable, and hands-on Facilities Supervisor to lead our maintenance staff, oversee the condition of our properties, coordinate outside contractors, and personally complete smallercarpentry projects.
This position requires regulartravelbetween company properties. The service area extendsmainly inmetro Detroit, but some properties are as far west as Commerce Township and as far north as Port Huron.
Company-ownedcars,trucks, and equipment are provided for work-related transportation
- Communicate regularly with company leadership and property stakeholdersregardingpriorities, progress, and unresolved concerns
- Conduct routine inspections of all properties toidentifymaintenance needs, safety hazards, code concerns, andopportunitiesfor improvement
- Perform general carpentry work involving walls, doors, trim, cabinetry, shelving, hardware, framing, fixtures, and other building components
- Obtain estimates and bids, compare project scopes, and help ensurecompetitivepricing
- Help develop practicalfacilitiespolicies, procedures, checklists, and preventivemaintenancestandards
- At least 5 years of prior professional experience encompassing both general carpentry and facilities supervision of facilities management
- Working knowledge of common building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing,doors, locks, and fire protection
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a proactive approach toidentifyingandaddressingfacility-related issues
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadline, with a customer service-oriented mindset and a commitment to excellence in a facility management
