- Maintain hotel facilities and surrounding areas, performing painting, patching, drywall work, and related maintenance activities using hand tools.
- Perform routine maintenance including:
- Surface preparation:
Clean, sand, patch, scrape, and prime walls, ceilings, and trim to ensure proper paint adhesion and smooth finishes. - Painting and decorating:
Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or sprayers; hang wallpaper when required. - Maintenance and repairs:
Patch drywall, spackle holes, caulk seams, and repair minor damage from daily wear and tear. - Quality and guest experience:
Complete room care and scheduled touch-ups while minimizing disruption to guests and maintaining a clean, odor-free environment.
- Surface preparation:
- Notify management of major repairs or additions needed.
- Maintain and log records of rooms completed.
- Monitor and maintain equipment; notify management of all needed repairs.
- Stay accessible to Chief Engineer, MOD, and all operating departments of the hotel.
- Safety and compliance: follow established safety protocols, use PPE, ensure proper storage/disposal of paints and chemicals, report accidents or unsafe conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications.
- Notify Chief Engineer of equipment and supply needs through inventory and par levels.
- Display good customer and coworker relations; greet others in a friendly manner; actively look for ways to assist guests and coworkers; maintain a clean and professional uniform appearance.
- Respond to requests for guest service in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and troubleshoot, understand causes of defects and determine repairs.
- Attention to detail, speed, accuracy, and safe, effective performance.
- Ability to learn and respond to all emergency procedures.
- Ability to interact with internal and external customers with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
- Use arithmetic to measure and calculate materials; inspect end product to ensure it meets requirements.
- Use computers and computer systems to enter data or process information.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, their design, use, repair, and maintenance; monitor information to detect problems.
- Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; related on-the-job experience and/or vocational training.

- Previous work-related skills, knowledge, or experience required.
