Join a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your role as an Assistant Housekeeper is vital to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. This full-time position involves performing daily cleaning duties with attention to detail and adherence to established standards.

As an Assistant Housekeeper, you will be responsible for cleaning assigned patient rooms, ancillary areas, and office spaces following specific procedures and guidelines. You will ensure that cleaning carts and janitor closets are organized and maintained, and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.

Perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and ancillary areas according to protocols.

Clean office spaces as assigned.

Use appropriate cleaning agents safely and effectively.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping carts and storage areas.

Complete and submit daily cleaning logs to supervisors.

Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or facility maintenance needs.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential. Willingness to learn additional tasks is important.

0-3 months of experience in housekeeping or floor care is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.

Good communication skills.

Ability to organize work efficiently.

Physical ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, lift up to 40 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds.

Basic computer skills.

Endurance for long periods of standing and walking.

Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment.

May encounter unpleasant odors, body fluids, and potential exposure to infectious diseases. Work environment includes exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet or slippery surfaces. Some areas may contain medications.
