Facilities Technician Shift - Heartland Care Center

Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND is seeking a Facilities Technician to work full time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am – 4 pm. The position will rotate on‑call every third week and participate in holiday rotation as needed.

The Facilities Technician assists with the general repair, maintenance, and upkeep of Eventide facilities, equipment, vehicles, and grounds under the direction of the Director of Facilities.

• Responsible for all facets of building and grounds maintenance and the preservation of Eventide’s assets, including daily maintenance activities such as grounds work, snow removal, equipment repairs, and service calls.
• Monitors and maintains Direct Digital Control systems to ensure efficient operations of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment.
• Safely utilizes and operates specialized tools and equipment related to boilers, electrical, and plumbing.
• Operates vehicles such as lawn care/snow removal equipment and other vehicles in the Eventide fleet.
• Uses the CMMS work order system to check job assignments each shift, making comments and labor adjustments as needed; also uses the Eventide time‑clock software to manage CMMS assignments at specific job sites; reports completed and problematic jobs to the Facilities Director.
• Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on Eventide assets as assigned and documents changes accordingly.
• Rotates weekend and weekly on‑call responsibilities.
• Provides occasional morning, evening, or weekend support during scheduled events and emergency situations.
• Performs grounds‑keeping duties to maintain a desirable campus appearance, including lawn maintenance, pruning, edging sidewalks, weed removal, and removal of snow and ice from sidewalks and parking lots.
• Completes the make‑ready process of vacant apartments and skilled care rooms for new residents as assigned.
• Maintains and tracks inventory controls to achieve cost‑effective operations.
• Assists in monitoring all projects performed by external contractors and reports information to the Facilities Director.
• Coordinates and completes special projects as assigned by the Facilities Director.
• Alerts the Facilities Director of any unusual occurrence or damage to Eventide property.

• Has a valid driver’s license and maintains insurability under corporate insurance policy.
• Facilities and/or maintenance experience preferred but not required.

Competitive starting pay range of $20–$22.40 per hour based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are available for selected positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
