Facilities Technician Shift - Heartland Care Center

Overview

Eventide Heartland Care Center in Devils Lake, ND is seeking a Facilities Technician to work full time, Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4pm. This position will rotate on-call every 3rd week and holiday rotation as needed.

The Facilities Technician assists with the general repair, maintenance, and upkeep of the Eventide facilities, equipment, vehicles, and its grounds under the direction of the Director of Facilities.

• Responsible for all facets of building/grounds maintenance and the preservation of Eventide’s assets, including daily activities to maintain assets such as grounds work, snow removal, equipment repairs and service calls, minor and major repairs to fixed and movable physical plant equipment, and other duties as assigned.
• Monitors and maintains Direct Digital Control systems to ensure efficient operations of Eventide Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems and equipment.
• Safely utilizes and operates specialized tools and equipment pertaining to boilers, electrical, and plumbing.
• Responsible for operations of vehicles such as lawn care/snow removal equipment and other vehicles included in the Eventide facilities fleet.
• Uses the CMMS software work order system to check job assignments during each shift, make comments and labor adjustments as needed. Uses Eventide time clock software to relate CMMS assignments to specific job sites. Reports all complete and problem jobs to the Facilities Director.
• Performs scheduled preventative maintenance on Eventide assets and documents changes accordingly.
• Will rotate weekend and weekly on-call responsibilities.
• Must be available for occasional morning, evening or weekend support during Eventide scheduled events and emergency situations.
• Performs grounds keeping duties to maintain a desirable campus appearance, including lawn maintenance, trimming/pruning bushes, edging sidewalks, weed removal, and snow/ice removal from sidewalks and parking lots.
• Completes the make-ready process of vacant apartments and skilled care rooms for new residents as assigned.
• Maintains and tracks inventory controls to achieve cost-effective operations.
• Assists in monitoring projects performed by external contractors and reports information as needed to the Facilities Director.
• Coordinates and completes special projects as assigned by the Facilities Director.
• Alerts Facilities Director to any unusual occurrences or damage to Eventide property.

• Will have a valid driver’s license and ability to maintain insurability under corporate insurance policy is required.
• Facilities and/or Maintenance experience preferred, but not required.
