Job DescriptionAs a Limited Hour Library Building Service Worker with the City of Dickinson, you'll be an essential part of our team, responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Your work keeps our facilities running smoothly, ensures spaces are ready for daily operations and special events, and supports the comfort and safety of everyone who walks through our doors.
Hourly Wage: $20.03 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
Hours: Must be available in the mornings between 6 AM and 12 PM
Qualifications- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
- Up to one year of janitorial, maintenance, or similar experience preferred—or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the job.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and common areas using established procedures.
- Vacuum, mop, buff, and shampoo floors and carpets.
- Dust furniture, wash windows and blinds, and maintain interior surfaces.
- Refill supplies and replace light bulbs as needed.
- Empty trash and recycling containers and monitor inventory of cleaning products.
- Assist with meeting and event setup, room arrangements, and occasional furniture moves.
- Lock and unlock buildings to ensure security and report any unauthorized access.
- Clear snow and debris from sidewalks and entryways using hand tools or light equipment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as auto scrubbers, buffers, and pressure washers.
- Attend safety trainings and participate in ongoing development.
- Support emergency cleaning or facility needs as they arise.
