Summary
We are seeking aa Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance department and ensure the efficient operation of all facility systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance procedures, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. This full-time position requires a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all maintenance activities.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance operations, including scheduling and assigning tasks to maintenance staff.
- Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and safety inspections.
- Train and mentor maintenance staff on best practices, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely resolution of maintenance-related issues.
- Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and services.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities.
- Assist in budget preparation and cost control for maintenance operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training preferred.
- 5 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
