Food Services Supervisor - Banquets
POSITION SUMMARY
Ensure staff is working together as a team to provide optimum service and meet guest needs. Inspect grooming and attire of staff and correct any deficiencies. Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies and tools, cleaning equipment and areas, and locking doors.
Inspect storage areas for organization, FIFO usage, and cleanliness. Complete scheduled inventories and requisition supplies as needed. Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well‑being.
Complete work orders for maintenance repairs. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
Follow all company policies, safety and security procedures, and report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management. Complete safety training and certifications. Maintain a clean and professional uniform and appearance and protect company assets. Acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and satisfy their service needs, assist guests with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
Communicate clearly and professionally, build positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement improvements to increase efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost‑savings.
Perform visual checks of information, tools, equipment, and machinery to identify defects. Stand, sit, walk, or shift for an extended period. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Use fine motor skills to manipulate varying-sized items. Navigate narrow or confined spaces, stairs, and ramps. Reach overhead and below the knees, bend, twist, pull, and stoop.
Perform any other reasonable duties requested by supervisors.

- Education:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. - Related work experience:
At least 2 years. - Supervisory experience:
At least 1 year. - License or certification:
None required.
