Sign Language Certificate Program Instructor
The ideal candidate can expect to teach a variety of course offerings in Sign Language Certificate Program. A variety of teaching modalities are offered including online, blended, FLEX and in-person instruction. Experience teaching diverse students at various levels of college-preparedness and non-traditional students is highly desirable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- AAS/BS with licensure and teaching experience
- State Licensure:
Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC) BEI Certification (Interpreter) or EIPA Education Interpreter Performance Assessment - Current Professional Membership:
Illinois Deaf and Hard of Hearing Commission (IDHHC) or Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or CAIRS - Teaching Experience 1- 2 years
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience 2-3 years with at least one year in Illinois.
- Demonstrate ability to use technology in the classroom.
This is a part-time faculty position with salary to be determined by placement on the adjunct faculty salary schedule. Beginning date:
