Clean Harbors Dolton, IL is an environmentally friendly solvent recycler looking to add several Solvent Process Operators to support distillation, filtration, and blending operations. This entry‑level position requires no travel and is ideal for dedicated individuals with a flexible schedule to work the night shift. It offers company‑provided training to learn chemical processes.
ShiftDays: 7 am–7 pm (3‑2 split schedule). No travel required.
Pay$25 per hour. Competitive wages with overtime opportunities. (Pay range $15.14–$30.29 hourly)

- Ensure health and safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting safely at all times.
- Offload inbound tankers and perform distillation as instructed by the laboratory.
- Sample trucks for laboratory analysis.
- Complete daily checklists required for the proper operation of the Distillation units.
- Ensure that the unit has daily maintenance duties performed and communicate any problems or issues with the Distillation units immediately upon discovery.
- Ensure that Distillation units are never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner inconsistent with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure the processing unit operates according to issued guidelines and process specifications.
- Decant material, pump off excess sludge, and wash out the still between batches to prevent cross‑contamination.
- Review all applicable SOPs and score satisfactorily on quizzes.
- Complete and submit all associated paperwork required for waste tracking movements, and scan applications.
- Ensure work meets all applicable Health and Safety SOPs.
- Understand and own area‑specific permit compliance standards.
- Maintain a clean work environment.
- Maintain accurate logs/runsheets.
- Monitor tank levels while in process using gauges and PLC monitoring equipment, checking high‑level alarms and pumps.
- Understand Clean Compliance Standards.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management and as required by Clean Harbors business needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- 1+ year related experience.
- Forklift experience preferred (not required).
- Ability to use a computer.
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
