LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking an FSQA Manager to join our client's organization in the Dolton, IL area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the site Food Safety and Quality Assurance leader, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements
  • Implement, maintain, and verify food safety programs including HACCP, GMPs, SSOPs, and environmental monitoring
  • Oversee quality systems to ensure compliance with GFSI standards, regulatory expectations, and customer specifications
  • Monitor raw material, in‑process, and finished product specifications; ensure required testing and documentation are completed
  • Review and verify daily quality and food safety records for accuracy and completeness
  • Partner with Operations to investigate and resolve product quality, food safety, and process‑related issues
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspectors during routine interactions and inspections
  • Lead internal, customer, and third‑party audits; ensure timely completion of corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage product hold, release, and disposition processes as required
  • Track and report quality system performance using KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct routine facility and production floor inspections to ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
  • Train, coach, and develop FSQA team members and support cross‑functional food safety training initiatives
Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Food Safety and Quality Assurance within a food manufacturing or processing environment
  • Working knowledge of USDA and/or FDA regulations and GFSI standards (SQF, BRC, FSSC 22000, or similar)
  • HACCP certification required; PCQI certification preferred
  • Experience leading audits and interacting with regulatory agencies and customers
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems
