Position: Personal Banker II - Dolton, IL and surrounding area

About the Role

The Retail Personal Banker II is a sales-focused position that emphasizes relationship building and cross-selling of deposits, loans, fee‑based services, and customer retention. Selected candidates complete a 4‑8 week onboarding and education program, including rotations in Operations and Sales & Service, and receive a certification upon completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use the consultative sales process and Financial Needs Assessment to build comprehensive customer profiles and identify current and future financial needs.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of retail consumer and small business products/services and recommend appropriate solutions using the bank’s value proposition.
  • Utilize CAMP and other approved marketing tools to proactively reach out to customers and set appointments for periodic financial reviews.
  • Focus on cross‑selling to the existing customer base and engage in outside sales activities (e.g., membership advantage presentations, business sales calls, community financial literacy events).
  • Collaborate closely with assigned Business Partners (Mortgage, Small Business, Commercial and Investment) to provide timely, holistic financial solutions.
  • Consistently meet or exceed customer experience and individual/team production goals, driving year‑over‑year revenue growth as measured by the Financial Center P&L.
  • Provide guidance to CSRs on the sales and referral process.
  • Promote customer satisfaction with a friendly, helpful demeanor and professionalism.
  • Respond confidently to customer questions and resolve customer issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality and trust by safeguarding all business information.
  • Adhere to the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, maintaining ethical behavior at all times.
  • Follow established policies and procedures while opening/servicing the full range of retail products.
  • Participate in the consumer loan and bankcard process, owning sourced loans from application through closing.
  • Support opening/closing processes of the Financial Center or Bank Mart as directed by the Financial Center Manager.
  • Stay current on retail procedures designed to mitigate fraudulent activity and unnecessary risk or exposure.
Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • College degree or equivalent work experience that provides transferable skills.
  • Experience in the financial industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop a comfort level with sales activities that acquire new consumer and small business customers and/or cross‑sell to existing customers.
  • Ability to perform advanced math functions for analysis of credit and financial information.
  • Professional appearance and strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of retail policies and procedures to exercise sound judgment.
  • Must hold S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). Registration is required for employment in this position.
Working Conditions
  • Normal office environment.
  • Extended computer screen use.
  • Ability to travel within the affiliate for training and maintain scheduling flexibility.
  • Occasional travel outside the affiliate for classroom training sessions.
Compensation and Location

Base salary range: $43,680.00 – $69,900.00 per year. Salary may vary based on role, experience, education, and geographic location.
