Position: Membership Growth Consultant

Join us as a Membership Growth Consultant (MGC), an outside healthcare sales representative responsible for generating sales leads and enrolling new patients by nurturing productive relationships with senior citizens, community partners and senior-focused businesses.

Responsibilities
  • Build, nurture, and cultivate direct-to-seniors and business-to-business partnerships to generate new patient opportunities year‑round.
  • Meet with individual seniors and groups at homes, workplaces, houses of worship, senior centers, or living communities to share the Chen Med value proposition; plan and execute local community events (information tables, health fairs, doc talks, etc.) to reach ideal patients (medically underserved, Medicare‑eligible seniors, age 55 and older).
  • Develop and maintain relationships with health plan agents, insurance agents, social workers, case workers, senior housing managers, senior centers and related community providers to position Chen Med as the top provider choice for seniors.
  • Partner with community officials, businesses and senior outreach programs to design initiatives that drive new patient growth.
  • Schedule sales meetings and referral relationships with plan agents, independent brokers and the senior community to deliver solutions to immediate customer requests.
  • Manage vendors, negotiate contracts with venues, and ensure insurance agents attend community events to facilitate timely patient assignment to Chen Med.
  • Utilize marketing and sales tools (including CRM/Salesforce) to identify opportunities, sell to new customers, manage leads, provide monthly activity calendars, create penetration plans, recover dormant customers, and drive member growth.
  • Deliver presentations to large audiences and develop distribution channels to support enrollment growth.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to improve engagement effectiveness with distributors, vendors, and community partners.
  • Develop and execute broker and partner strategies; engage new patients beyond the first appointment; maintain relationships with enrolled patients; resolve complaints; perform related duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities

  • Detail‑oriented and proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook), CRM tools (Salesforce) and other software.

  • Ability to engage customers in conversation, be flexible and creative in dealing with customers, and maintain a positive, warm disposition.
  • Persuasive, highly motivated to make sales, and able to close sales without being perceived as pushy.
