Laurel Oaks Behavioral Health Center is a 118-bed Acute Psychiatric Hospital and Residential Treatment Center for children and adolescents ages four through eighteen. The 55,000 square foot facility is situated on approximately 10 acres in the southeast corner of Alabama, close to Florida and Georgia. The hospital employs approximately 195 staff members.

• The Facilities/Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the routine upkeep, maintenance and repairs to physical plant, building, and equipment.
• Work hours:
  
  8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Perform necessary upkeep projects and assist with preventive maintenance programs as required.
• Coordinate with supervisory staff to prioritize maintenance requests and ensure minimal disruption to operations.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge and experience in: carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanics, and security.
• One year of experience in building maintenance and repair required.
• One year of experience in security preferred.

• Painting – professional industrial/business.
• Sheetrock/drywall repair.
• Basic general experience in electrical, plumbing, and maintenance repair.
