Salary range: $79,*

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees the maintenance of the Pebble Plant Department, ensuring equipment and facilities operate efficiently to meet production requirements. The supervisor works closely with maintenance staff to support the operating schedule and prevent downtime.
- Provide preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize outages.
- Perform skilled electrical and mechanical repairs and assist with equipment installations.
- Advise staff on complex or difficult tasks.
- Perform on‑call duties for after‑hour emergencies, determining appropriate resolution or contacting appropriate staff.
- Establish and maintain inspection schedules, records, and check‑lists.
- Maintain equipment files for identification of required spare parts.
- Manage maintenance costs, reviewing monthly costs and correcting problem areas.
- Maintain plant safety devices and ensure they function as designed.
- Evaluate and communicate risks associated with potential environmental impacts.
- Monitor environmental programs, maintaining reports such as air velocity testing, air pollution emissions, confined space permits, and utilities sanitary discharge reports.
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement design changes to increase production, improve safety, and reduce operating costs.
- Collaborate with plant operating personnel to ensure facilities are available to meet production requirements.
- Ensure personnel perform on‑time maintenance, emphasizing minor facility repair.
- Ensure all employees under supervision understand and follow all environmental, health, and safety rules and regulations.
- Assist Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Health and Safety functions to maintain Strip’s Quality registrations.
- Determine need for outside contractors, prepare bid specifications, select contractors, serve as liaison, review contractor work, and ensure contractor safety.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: degree in Engineering or technology equivalent.
- Preferred: previous supervisory or leadership experience.
- Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience with a strong hands‑on mentality.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, an Asylee or Refugee, a National of a country not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a person approved for an export license by the governing agency. Any job offer requiring an export license will be conditional on Materion’s ability to obtain the license within a timeframe consistent with business requirements.
