Maintenance Tech - Block Party Hotels; Atlantic Oceanside​/Dewey

Block Party Hotels is currently seeking a Part‑Time Maintenance Technician to ensure our guests’ satisfaction. The position is primarily responsible for maintaining the building, grounds, and mechanical equipment with particular attention to safety and security. In addition, the role is accountable for performing maintenance tasks on a daily basis that are critical to providing an exceptional stay to each and every guest.

• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel.
• Respond to guest/fellow employee calls for maintenance tasks in guest rooms/public space.
• Maintain guestrooms using the rooms preventive maintenance program.
• Check HVAC equipment: change filters, belts, bearings, and lubricate as necessary.
• Ensure security of assigned keys.
• Change or repair locks as needed.
• Maintain drywall and painting for a consistently fresh look around the hotel.
• Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas.
• Assist in all phases of repair work.
• Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Maintain the proper use, cleaning, maintenance, and storage of all tools. Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces.
• Ensure safety for all guests and employees as a top priority.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Keep accurate completion and task records in the project files.
• Perform walk around inspections of the property.

• Ability to work collaboratively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
• Strong technical skills and hands‑on experience in maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
• Effective problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for interacting with guests, staff, and external contractors.
• Reliable and punctual.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the hotel's operational needs.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Vocational training or certification in maintenance or a related field is a plus.
• Prior experience in hotel maintenance or a similar role is preferred.
