Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

Responsibilities

• Overall care of the building and grounds, following proper cleaning procedures.
• Daily housekeeping tasks: vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, empty trash in various areas.
• Operate floor buffer machine and scrubber machine to clean rugs.
• Clean glass of all doorways and entrances to offices.
• Monitor building security and safety, e.g., lock doors after cleaning offices.
• Notify management of needed repairs when necessary.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial field experience preferred.
• Ability to comprehend basic written and oral instructions.
• Internal and external customer service skills.
• Ability to cooperate with others, good personal and grooming habits.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly working area to maximize efficiency.

The employee is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, kneel, bend and crouch; talk or hear. Occasional sitting and crawling. Regularly lift or move products and supplies up to 50 pounds. Frequent climbing a ladder and use of power tools. Vision: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

The employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions. Noise level is usually quiet to moderate.
