As an Environmental Services Floor Technician, you will play an important role in supporting infection prevention, patient safety, and overall hospital operations through specialized floor care and environmental services responsibilities. • Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors throughout the hospital
• Operate high‑ and low‑speed stripping and buffing machines
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets in assigned areas
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork
• Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, door glass, and related surfaces
• Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and replenish supplies
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations
• Pick up debris around hospital buildings and grounds
• Identify and report building maintenance or safety concerns
• Maintain hospital cleanliness, infection prevention, and safety standards
• Provide professional and courteous customer service to patients, visitors, and staff

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2-3 years of experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals or healthcare settings required
• Previous floor care, environmental services, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred
• Ability to operate floor care equipment or willingness to learn
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication and comprehension skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the shift
