Job Title
Mass General Brigham is seeking a professional to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This role supports overall hospital operations by ensuring assigned areas meet cleanliness, infection prevention, and safety standards.
Essential FunctionsThe duties include sweeping, mopping, waxing, stripping, and polishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpets; dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork; cleaning walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, sills, door panels, and glass surfaces; emptying, cleaning, and sanitizing trash and waste receptacles; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms; removing debris and maintaining cleanliness around building entrances and surrounding areas; operating floor care equipment; setting up and arranging tables, chairs, and equipment for meetings, events, and hospital activities;
identifying and reporting maintenance, safety, or repair concerns; following hospital safety, infection control, and environmental service protocols; maintaining professionalism and providing excellent customer service.
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No. Licenses and Credentials:
Experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently but also be a team player. Good communication and comprehension skills.
