Description:
The Maintenance Director will perform general maintenance and repairs for assigned equipment and facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs at facilities.
- Performs general repairs. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems including lighting, flooring, plumbing, painting.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Utilizes supplies and equipment properly without waste.
- Performs emergency housekeeping.
- Works jointly with facility maintenance/housekeeping staff to service floors, all patient rooms, baths, lounges, nurses stations, and offices as assigned.
- Vacuums and shampoos carpeting and rugs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or trade school preferred.
- Maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing setting.
- 1+ year of supervisory or management experience.
- Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards (OSHA, CMS, state inspections).
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Computer Literacy
- Ability to work on-call or respond to emergencies as needed.
