Housekeeping Attendant (Downey, CA)
Job Summary
Under general supervision, cleans and maintains assigned areas and performs a variety of environmental service duties in and around the medical center in order to maintain a neat, orderly, sanitary, and safe environment.
Essential Responsibilities- Upholds KPs Policies & Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal & local laws
- Cleans equipment, surgical areas, storage areas, furniture & beds
- Cleans spills and flooded areas
- Deep cleans, sanitizes rooms, mattresses, vents, and bathrooms
- Operates electrical cleaning equipment
- Strips, cleans, and polishes floor & wall surfaces; vacuum carpet areas
- Dilutes cleaning solutions
- Collects and disposes of waste including bio‑hazardous medical waste according to Policies & Procedures, ensuring bio‑hazardous waste is stored and locked in approved areas
- Coordinates housekeeping functions with other departments
- May perform other duties as required
