The Role
- Promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy and an extremely high standard of social skills
- Promote and ensure good inter‑departmental relations

- Demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times when representing the hotel, identifying a high level of commitment
- Assist the Assistant Manager / Restaurant Manager in any task outlined/detailed by him/her
- Take time to get to know guests, and be committed to service excellence
- Provide service that is sincere, warm and enthusiastic, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Work hands‑on towards the timely set up of the assigned Food & Beverage outlet, according to the meal settings and in line with opening hours
- Contribute to meet / maximize the monthly revenue budget for the outlet and understand how to control operational expenses
- Attend regular training sessions in line with departmental P&P (guest care, product knowledge, grooming standards, up‑selling, etc.)
- Work as per instructions from the immediate supervisor and duty shifts (basic cleaning, polishing equipment, table setting, collecting materials / goods from other departments, etc.)
- Communicate directly with guests (present menus, recommend, receive orders, place orders and handle payments)
- Ensure proper appearance (uniform condition) and grooming while on duty
- Handle the guest greeting upon arrival and seating through the hostess
- Ensure the entrance is never left unattended
- Maintain a professional / friendly, yet discreet relationship with outlet patrons to ensure their well‑being
- Become familiar with all menus, promotions and other relevant issues concerning the outlet (product knowledge)
- Report cleanliness and maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor
- Handle guest complaints as per instructions or after consulting the supervisor
- Do all mise‑en‑place work according to the whole‑day service requirements
- Report equipment failures/problems to the Maintenance Department
- Pass any maintenance requests to the Maintenance Department
- Participate in any training / development schemes as recommended by senior management
- Attend all regular departmental briefings and contribute to an open communication within the assigned team
- Treat guests and colleagues with politeness and courtesy
- Observe high standards of personal hygiene
- Maintain clean and organized side stations at all times
- Anticipate customers’ needs
- Be flexible in assisting around different areas of the hotel
- Familiar with the company’s internal policies and safety procedures
- Help in other areas of the hotel if the situation requires
- Have a complete understanding of and adhere to Accor policy relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety
- Be familiar with all related company documentation and especially the relevant Operational Standards Manual for the department
- Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Work hand‑to‑hand with the hostess to ensure the name tag is complete and in proper position
- Ensure business card and database are handed over to the hostess for the record
- Make sure all bills are handed over to the cashier
- Ensure all items are charged accordingly in the micros system as per guest consumption
