Custodian
Job Overview The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.
Roles & Responsibilities- Perform all janitorial duties according to the daily schedule.
- Handle hazardous waste responsibilities: collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste.
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area.
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor risk behavior of others and self.
- Collaborate with other employees to perform work assignments.
- Perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a clean work area.
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Take direction and respond to supervision.
- Communicate professionally with leads, supervisors, co‑workers, managers, and customers.
- Cover for staff shortages and support shift lead with punch‑list items.
- Use proper personal protective equipment.
- Present a professional appearance and conduct.
- Understand customer service and satisfaction.
- Understand reporting systems and environmental practices.
- No specific education requirement; 3–6 months of training or experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- May require a valid driver’s license.
- Must complete all safety and task training certifications.
- May require forklift certification.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and willingness to share with the team.
- Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds, chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.

Compensation and ShiftMonday‑Friday: 5:00pm – 1:30pmPay: $16.25 – $17.25 per hour
