Maintenance (8:30am - 5:00pm) - Operations

To help maintain the district's physical plant in a state of operating excellence that it presents no problems or interruptions to the educational process.

A high school diploma or training and experience that are considered equivalent. A documented knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and HVAC systems and other basic building systems. A low pressure boiler license preferred. Good human relations with the ability to communicate in a courteous manner. Ability to work with little supervision. A neat appearance. Basic computer skills including email, ability to be trained on various softwares to document inventory, work order entry, internet search, etc.

As directed by the Chief Operating Officer or his designee, performs, but not limited to: needed carpentry, electrical, masonry, plumbing and general repairs/maintenance. Performs HVAC repairs and maintenance as capabilities allow under the guidance of the HVAC Mechanic. These include preventative maintenance duties. Assists with snow removal. These seasonal duties will require the individual to be on call as required. Assists the HVAC Supervisor in the continual examination of district owned facilities for the purpose of corrective and/or preventative maintenance.

Complies with all Federal, state and local laws and regulations for the storage, use and disposal of trash, rubbish, waste and hazardous material [OSHA]. Ensures the safety of students. Establishes and maintains cooperative professional relationships. Remains free of any alcohol or nonprescription controlled substance and abuse of any prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout employment in the district. Exhibits professional behavior, emotional stability, and sound judgment.

Serves as a role model for students in how to conduct themselves as citizens and as responsible, and intelligent human beings.

261 Days (251 Days; 10 paid holidays); 8 hours per day excluding lunch, 8:30am - 5:00pm. Salary as provided by negotiated agreement. Work year to be established by the Board. $25.43 - $29.44/hr.
