Housekeeping Staff (Facilities & Hospitality — Summer Camp)
Eagle Sky Camps
· Housing + All Meals Included · $350/week
· CPT/OPT Friendly
A camper walks into her cabin on the first day, drops her bag, and doesn’t think about the room once all week.
That’s the win. That’s the whole job.
Housekeeping Staff do the work nobody’s supposed to notice — clean cabins, ready buildings, spills handled before anyone slips, the temperature already right when the door opens. It’s not glamorous and we won’t pretend otherwise. It’s also the reason a thousand campers get a week free of distractions, and it’s the clearest picture of servant leadership on this property.
If you’ve ever wanted a summer where the work itself is the ministry, this is it.
This is a Christian ministry role. We serve campers in the name of Jesus, and every staff member is part of that mission.
What You’ll Actually Do- Get every building guest-ready before arrival — clean, stocked, organized, with air and heat set correctly.
- Clean throughout the property
, including furniture and fixtures. - Handle spills and messes as they happen, with a willing heart and no complaining about whose job it was.
- Work both ways. Some tasks are a team push; others you’ll knock out on your own.
- Help where the need is. This isn’t an exhaustive list, and you’ll support other departments as ministry needs come up.
- You have a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ that demonstrates His Lordship and models servant leadership to our guests.
- You take pride in work that goes unseen. The people who love this job are the ones who find satisfaction in a room done right, whether or not anyone thanks them.
- You’re physically up for it — considerable use of your arms, legs, and whole body, all day.
- You’re dependable with a strong work ethic. The weekly schedule is demanding, and you’re flexible when it changes.
- You have experience working with children and teens, in volunteer or work settings.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Able to perform general physical activity requiring considerable use of arms, legs, and whole body
- Housing and all meals included — no rent, no grocery bill, so what you earn is what you keep. For a lot of our staff, this is the summer they actually saved money.
- A real reference. Supervisors who can speak to your reliability and work ethic, which is worth more in a job search than most students realize.
- CPT/OPT supported. We work with international students and your school’s international office to complete required documentation.
- A staff community that will feel like family faster than you expect
This is physical, repetitive, and sometimes unpleasant. You will clean things you’d rather not clean. We’d rather say that plainly than sell you a summer you don’t want.
Here’s the other side of it: you’ll be outdoors in the Ozarks, surrounded by a staff team that becomes family in about two weeks, at a camp where kids’ lives change every session — and you’ll be part of that, not adjacent to it. Everyone here does jobs that aren’t in their description. Housekeeping just does them first.
Why This Looks Great After CampHospitality and facilities operations, time management across a large property, quality standards, and independent work with minimal supervision — plus the thing employers actually screen for and rarely find: proof you’ll do hard work well when nobody’s watching.
Strong fit for students in hospitality and tourism management, facilities and property management, and youth ministry — and for anyone who wants a summer of purpose, savings, and community rather than a résumé line.
