This position is responsible for performing custodial functions at School District facilities.

• Perform regular custodial duties such as mopping, sweeping, dumping trash, cleaning glass, vacuuming, and changing light bulbs
• Report maintenance and other needs to the Foreman/Lead Engineer in the building
• Lock and unlock doors in building according to scheduled activities
• Set‑up and clean‑up for special events
• Shovel snow and operate snow removal equipment
• Perform exterior cleaning duties such as sweeping sidewalks and picking up trash
• Move furniture and equipment as needed
• Respond to the needs of building occupants and users
• Provide excellent customer service to building staff, students and other users
• Other duties as assigned

• Able to operate equipment associated with custodial operations
• Able to follow oral and written directions
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Prompt, regular and reliable attendance
• Ability to perform routine computer functions, including the use of email, Internet navigation and Microsoft Word
• Communicates with students, parents, co‑workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships
• Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions

• Previous custodial experience
